About Us

Our History

W.H.Y., Inc. was founded in 2021 to take a stand in helping combat fatal overdoses and give a voice to those who have already lost their battle. The Centers for Disease Control reports that In 2020, 100,306 drug overdose deaths occurred in the United States. Of those overdoses that were reported, 75% or 75,673 were specifically attached to an opioid. These numbers are getting higher each year. Help us help those at risk. W.H.Y., Inc. is a registered 501 (c) 3 organization with the IRS.

Henry Anderson, Jr.

Mr. Anderson joined our Board of Directors in May, 2021 and served as a valued member of Board until his passing on December 4, 2021. Mr. Anderson brought with him 28 years of experience in education and a profound insight on reaching the youth of our country. Our condolences goes out to his family and friends in your time of loss and grief. Henry, we thank you for your dedication to our Mission and our Organization and you will truely be missed.  You will forever be part of We Hear You, Inc.

Lisa K. Ray

Ms. Ray joined our Advisory Board of Directors in May, 2021 and served as a valued member of this Board until her passing on April 2, 2025. Ms. Ray brought with her over 30 years of experience in substance use treatment and was a pillar in the creation of bringing substance use treatment inside the walls of the Arkansas Prisons and Probation system. She also was the program director at UCA for the Addiction Treatment program and inspired numerous people in their journey to become part of the team that makes up addiction treatment professionals in this state. Our condolences goes out to her family and friends in your time of loss and grief. Lisa, we thank you for your dedication to our Mission and our Organization and you will truly be missed. May the Pink Flamingos forever dance around you. You will forever be part of We Hear You, Inc.
